About Abriendo Caminos™

The program helps young people build confidence, strengthen communication skills, develop emotional awareness, and cultivate a deeper sense of belonging while honoring their cultural identity, lived experiences, and personal strengths.

Through guided reflection, storytelling, leadership development activities, peer connection, and culturally responsive wellbeing practices, participants gain practical tools to navigate challenges, build resilience, and envision their future with greater confidence and purpose.

Abriendo Caminos™ combines research-informed social-emotional development with culturally rooted approaches that affirm the experiences of immigrant youth. Participants leave with a stronger understanding of themselves, deeper connections with their peers, and the confidence to lead within their families, schools, and communities.

Designed for schools, nonprofits, community organizations, and youth-serving programs, Abriendo Caminos™ provides a meaningful and proven framework for supporting the wellbeing, leadership development, and long-term success of immigrant and first-generation youth.
